NBC is known for its popular shows like Parks and Rec, The Office, Hannibal and ABC isn’t a slouch either- it’s got The Bachelor, The Bachelorette or Grey’s Anatomy.

Anyway, they are popular American shows and they don’t let anyone outside America watch these shows.

Of course, people would use VPNs to circumvent these geo-restrictions, and boy do they work. No, they don’t.

But guess what does work - Smart DNS Proxy. It lets you unblock geo-restrictions on all streaming sites including ABC and NBC.

Let’s start with NBC.

If I go to nbc.com and play a video you can see it says:

This content is not available in your location

And the same thing happens for ABC GO as well, if I play any video, it won’t show anything.

Let’s try to fix it with Smart DNS Proxy,

Here, we’re going to show you how to set it up on my Mac, but you can set up Smart DNS Proxy on any device, be it Windows, Android, iOS, or even your router. We have the video for all platforms, a link to that will be in the description.

Okay, so let’s begin.

1. Firstly, you’d want to go to the System Preferences and then find Network.
2. Go ahead and click on Network to get to your network settings.
3. Select the network that your Mac is connected to and make sure to select a wireless connection to select airport for the older Operating systems.
4. Click on Advanced to go the Advanced settings window with all the different tabs
5. Select the DNS tab. Now you should make sure you remove the existing DNS in your system before you key in the new ones by selecting the existing IP’s and clicking on the minus button.
6. Once you’re done with that, click on the plus button to add two new DNS Proxy IP addresses, just pause the video and copy the two IP address which is nearest to your physician or Use the link in the description below the video window to see the updated DNS server list of various countries.
7. Use the closest DNS server IP as your primary and another one relatively close as your secondary one. For instance, say if I’m Australia, then I’ll copy two DNS servers from Australia, and if there was only one available, then I choose another nearby, like New Zealand. Now paste the DNS servers in Network settings of your Mac and click OK.
8. Once you’ve done that, go to your Smart DNS Proxy account page and refresh it, if you have done everything right, you’ll see a green tick next to your DNS Setup.
9. And once you see all those ticks, you’ll need to activate your IP address, to setup your Current IP in our system.

And that’s it, now if you go back to NBC and play the same video (you might have to restart the browser or the computer to clear the existing DNS cache) and there you go, you can watch NBC outside of America.

Similarly, if you go to ABC GO and play any video, you can see it’s working now. And it’s not just NBC and ABC, Smart DNS Proxy helps you unblock Netflix US, Amazon Prime, Hulu and lots more. Although, I would recommend setting up DNS on router so that every device connected to your Wi-Fi or your network should start unblocking all those geo-restrictions.
